Default SEVEN deadly SIMS REDEMPTION Challenge- discuss & share
Seven Deadly Sims Redemption Challenge

Create seven Deadly Sims, then guide them towards the light! Help Envy, Lust, Greed, Wrath, Sloth, Gluttony and Pride live happy lives WITHOUT taking advantage of and/or terrorizing others!

Earn 35,000 Lifetime Happiness Points (awarded through the testingcheatsenabled cheat where you click next to the point counter), or achieve one of the predetermined Lifetime Happiness Wishes for each sim to 'complete' the challenge. The trick is, each LTW (Lifetime Wish) is the OPPOSITE of what your sim will naturally want.
Each Lifetime Happiness goal is based on the OPPOSITE of what your sim will naturally be good at. For example, if they normally like the limelight, they may need to do some soul searching instead (write a book, nurse a stray) If they normally would want to be disruptive of others, they will need to learn to make friends and work in a group or become more charismatic.
For each sin committed there must be a good deed done. You can have some freedom with what you want a good deed to be, but it should be a 1:1 ratio as for every sin there is a price. You may also assign a value to each sin if you like to make it easier. Examples; for every piece of trash they leave lying around for a day or more, they must plant a tree, or for every person they hurt with negative comments they must either complement or apologize (this must be accepted by the sim they wronged)
Rules;
• You must play Seven Sims (or at least each of the seven sins must be represented as a sim could represent two sins for more challenging gameplay), each with the vice of one of the seven deadly sins; Envy, Pride, Lust, Wrath, Sloth, Gluttony or Greed. The goal is simple- DO NOT SIN. If your sim commits a sin that one of their two chosen traits advocates, you must find a way to redeem that sin and live a life that blesses sims around you, or encourages others to be a good influence while still becoming happy yourself.
• There will be seven types of Sims to play and they need to have two of their five traits be predetermined- the only other trait restriction is that they cannot be either ‘good’ nor ‘evil’.
• You may also have your Sim represent TWO of the deadly sins, but then four of their traits are predetermined and you may only choose one. The eventual goal is to play the lives of each sin, which can be done with one initial household for more of a challenge, or with a sin each generation of a family until seven are completed.
• You should also strive for your Sim to have complete happiness in this life, without succumbing to the temptation of their sinful nature. You will know they are happy once they have achieved their Lifetime Wish- be careful which wish you allow them to select! If you let a Kleptomaniac choose ‘Possession is Nine-Tenths of the Law’, they will be working a lot of community service and may never be able to achieve living a good life that also ends in happiness.
• Nothing is a sin until you are a young adult! You can allow your sim to behave however you like, but once they age up and realize their mortality they must try to turn things around and become ‘redeemed’ despite their nature!
• Only ‘unspent’ lifetime happiness points count towards your end total. You have until the sim becomes an elder to count points. The moment they age up to elder, stop everything and tally up their points. So, if you decide to spend them, spend wisely!
• Mistakes and Sins that fulfill wishes should be recorded as ‘NEGATIVE’ Happiness points and removed from the end total. If that is too much to keep track of (you should be having fun with this after all), you can just keep track of how many negatives they have fulfilled and make sure your sim performs a positive to redeems themselves from doing what they shouldn’t have.

---> Once you have won the challenge for that vice you may reward your sim with a new personality or cheat and change their bad traits (this is fair especially considering the game metric for pets where traits can change). Through hard work you have overcome your vices and you are a better person for it! You may now obtain moodlets normally without being punished for them (after traits are changed) This rule helps especially with legacy play.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Envy is the most difficult to overcome, Lust is the easiest (LTW-wise)
Also, certain moodlets if you do not agree with them as positive/ negative, that’s not an issue and you can change it- the goal is just to have specifics for scoring later. Moodlets like ‘humiliated’ and ‘embarrassed’ I didn’t really want to put in good columns, but I was thinking about how they are obtained (it might be healthy for a Prideful sim to occasionally be embarrassed, or a Wrathful sim to lose the occasional fight and be ‘humiliated’) these are there for character building as this is all about helping our sims become better ‘people’! Also, the Lustful sim should not be skinny dipping, so if their clothing is stolen and they are ‘embarrassed’, that’s just desserts, right?
Some moodlets are the result of specific good or bad interactions, for example if a Wrathful Sim asks for protection and receives it, they will get the ‘Someone to Watch Over Me’ Moodlet. If you want to count this as two good things you may, but just be consistent and do so every time.
There's already a challenge on MTS called exactly that, so you might want to call it something different.
Should I change the title to be more redemptive? I haven't tried the other challenge but I think it's pretty easy to make the sims misbehave, so that's why I wanted to go in the opposite direction.
