This is great, thank you! I've been looking for some realistic grass for a long time, and the dirt roads are a bonus

Thanks for including floors to match. The last time I saw a mod like this there wasn't any, and it didn't look very good. I really like this mod

Thank you! The regular roads haven't suited ... well, pretty much every neighbourhood I've ever made. Having dirt roads will be fantastic!

Well, my modern neighborhoods will have to suffer with unseemly dirt roads, but their suffering will just fuel my love of medieval sim neighborhoods. Besides, I hear that suffering is good for sims- gives them character, or something like that. ;D
Many, many thanks for making this. This is pretty much exactly what I've been looking for.

Thank you!! Finally, a fix for the modern roads in lot view. This is perfect! Now if I could just figure out which of the stupid blue boxes in neighborhood view is making the hot air balloon... (am using a blank Veronaville)

These are absolutely beautiful and will be perfect for my medieval neighborhood. I do have a question, though, and forgive me if it sounds noobish. You mentioned that the asphalt in front of the houses (while playing each lot) will need to be removed manually so your matching tiles can be put down - how can I be sure I'm not deleting a portal when I delete the road?

As far as I know you cannot delete a portal by replacing the road tiles. The only side effect is that driveway placement will be turned a different direction (this trick is especially useful for making side entry garages). I have deleted the roadway more times than I can count and have never had any issues with visitors, walkbys or the household coming or going to the lot.

Awesome! Thank you so much for your prompt and in depth response. I was just remembering the old TS1 days when I accidentally deleted portals and stopped having carpools, visitors wouldn't leave the lot, etc, which eventually corrupted my whole game. I am SO looking forward to these and many of your other useful medieval things for my new neighborhood. Thank you!!

I wasn't able to actually pick up and delete the road with the move objects cheat, but I was able to color over it with your matching tiles. Pedestrians and service sims seem to be working just fine and I'm thrilled with how my neighborhood is coming along. Thanks again!!

I had been using this mod for two weeks without glitch. Last night, when I opened my neighborhood, all of my lots and my characters suddenly disappeared! They returned after I deleted the replacement, but I had to use my backup files as the sims' memories and aspirations disappeared. I want to know what's causing the problem because I really want to use your roads replacement for my medieval neighborhood.

This isn't the first time it happened. I used Phaenoh's road replacement and the same thing happened.

I have no idea as to why this problem might occur. Technically the dirt road is just a default replacement recolor of the road images files. It's not really a mod in my opinion because it doesn't change any game programming or functions. You can simply use it/delete it/swap it out with other road replacements without actually making permanent changes to the game, just like with any other default replacement recolor. The fact that you used it for several weeks without a problem doesn't seem to indicate that its a road recolor issue.

How can I get it back to normal??? I'll probably download it again, If I'm working on some sort of medieval movie. Please reply soon!

Is there any way to edit this in SimPE so that it replaces the default textures for "dirt" neighbourhoods instead of the "grass" neighbourhoods? I have an 1800s-esque rural 'hood set to the dirt terrain, and it would be neat to be able to replace that with this download and leave the grass terrain set alone for my modern neighbourhood. I'm just not sure if it's possible, as I had downloaded a rural roads replacement that was supposed to be for "dirt" and it didn't work, so was curious.

Woho! My Sims (Simmies?) are euphoric! I once downloaded another replacement for the roads but it didn't work, nothing happened... I don't know why but it might be some other download that made it happen... Anyway I have deleted the old one of course and now I'm going to try your replacement... I hope it works now because I've been longing to see this for a long time!!

Errr, When I downloaded this, I didn't know it replaced the default neighborhood roads and grass. I thought they were just like... Floor Tiles or something. So i wanted it back to normal. I deleted the files... I checked on Sims Game and it was still there but worst when i'm in a household only the road in front of my house is normal the rest is dirt. So can someone help me please ?
