Yes you can. Placing gems on the highest shelves is a bit of a challenge, but it works!

Item placement is easier if you do it from a higher angle. But it's been reported that you can't get 3 on a shelf with this bookshelf.

Raven Shadow has created a Stackable Wall Shelf kit(yes, you read that right, but read it again and think on it for a minute).
