This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3, World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets, Showtime, Supernatural, Seasons, University Life, Island Paradise, Into the Future
Default Soleved:Orign can’t update.
Orign can’t update.
I set it to automatic update of Origin, but it is not updated.

I think that the latest update will be applied if I reinstall Origin, but I am currently using patch 1.67 with Sims3.

Reinstalling Origin is afraid that the Sims 3 patch will be automatically updated to 1.69.

Sims4 can not see the online gallery.

Is there a solution?

I'm having the same issue. I've not seen any other solutions being given that reinstalling Origin. We should be able to stop it from updating the Sims by right clicking the game and picking "never update"... but we can't do that until we can get back online.

I'll keep looking but unfortunately I'm going to be away from home all day.

copy and save main game executable somewhere. "Keep it secret. keep it safe".
Update, let the Origin do it's ugly things.
Overwrite infested executable, with the saved one.

Thank you

It’s stated that.
Try this in the following order (even if you already did some steps):
Close Origin completely by right clicking the Origin system tray icon and selecting Exit.
Make sure Time/Date is correctly set on the PC
Make sure Origin is authorized by your anti-virus and firewall
Reset Internet Explorer Settings
Untick the options in LAN Settings ( make sure nothing is checked under Proxy Server )
Clear Origin Cache Data
Reset the Windows Host File
Reboot your computer. Now right-click Origin and select Run as administrator
If still unresolved, please do a clean boot

Currently, It seems that there are several other people who can not log in to Origin or can not go online.
There is also the possibility of an Origin side problem, not this side.

This is what worked for me early this morning.

This forum member at Carl's Sims Guide has problems with the automatic updater. Back in 2014 they posted two links. The second link will download the installer- which will manually patch Origin. I checked after running it and got Origin to start with no issues. As for updating the Sims, I had the usual option of clicking "play without updates".

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a problem on EA's end honestly.

Origin is now online.

I don't think there is a need to tweak the settings.
It is speculation, but this problem is Origin cause.
