musical instruments; in shipped version there are percussion (pianos, drum) and string (bass, guitar, violin).
there also be wind and woodwind instruments; unless someone already created any of those.

edit:: there also be objects that play music on their own. music boxes; figurines that like dance to music; etc.

Rebecah at Affinity Sims has flutes. I've seen harps somewhere too. And there are several music boxes around, although the only one I remember where to find is this one. https://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=488038

I've heard it told that there was, at one point, supposed to be a texting feature. Not sure if that's true. But seeing as how sims have cell phones, and there IS a system of electronic communication, i bet it's doable. You could use the phone menu and add a "text" so-and-so option. Then employ the same system the game already uses for sending/receiving email. I'm sure it could be accomplished. Just not sure how much use it'd actually get. my sims hardly ever email each other. They CERTAINLY dont tweet!

Chris Hatch has also made a hack that enables the texting feature.

I'd like to see a revamp of the life insurance and inheritance system:
- Being able to choose which Sims get the money (perhaps the 'throw a party' dialog could work for this)
- The amount of money being split up depending on the value of their estate and maybe their LTA as well.
- Extra life insurance for non-old age deaths. The way it is at current seems a bit backwards to me.
- The stuff in their inventory going to another Sim of choice.

There is 'non-elder' life insurance by Monique at Insim:
http://www.insimenator.org/index.ph...7&topic=30191.0

It pays out the same as the hacked elder life insurance. Only to relatives.

A few ideas for leftovers mechanic.
- an interaction - "Put away many letfovers". Sims goes and picks the single plate that was first selected on. Then goes to the next one, thrust the hand that is holding the plate as If it to grab it, then the second plate disappears and the plate in hand transforms into a platter and the process repeats itself with the remaining unfinished plates. The Platter will have the number of remaining that to how many were picked as a leftover. This could also work If you queue up with the vanilla variation of the interaction.
- Sims 3-Style leftover system, where leftover can be taken from the refrigerator autonomously and you could pick what leftover dish from the pie menu ("Get..." > "Mac & Cheese"). Makes the simulation flood with reducing the pause times. Maybe an optional/toggleable food-spoils-overtime-even-in-the-fridge feature too.

P.S. Sorry for my bad english.

You can do that with a cheat: boolprop controlpets true.

It'd be nice if the Sims2Pack Clean Installer closed itself after successful installation.

It'd also be nice if someone updated the Sims 2 Categorizer so that it didn't sometimes corrupt files. It's a little nicer to use than SimPE.

Tell me about it! I messed up some files because of it and I had no idea my game wouldn't open because of them. It was a pain to understand wht was wrong.

Is there a black night sky mod (instead of default navy blue)? If not, that's something I'd love to see.

Not sure, but @gummilutt and Mootilda investigated changing the "darkness" of night. Maybe you can find that and tune it to your liking? Not sure if it even affects the sky texture?

The drop off has been made. You've been warned.

Plus, set up a userstartup.cheat file so the cheat is loaded with the game without having to type it yourself.

It happened to me too. It's a good thing I always keep the original zip files stuffed away in another folder.

I'd like to see a fix for Inge's Mortgage Shrubs so that when a Sim who's living on a lot with them moves in with another Sim, they won't bring in negative funds:

I wish the sims could read unique books, in a similar fashion they can read the life improving manuals that came in the Apartment Life. The main difference would be, that they would only gain a memory that they read 'Wuthering Heighs' or 'Ivanhoe' and they could just talk about it as a memory. But what's cool some sims could really and genuinely become 'cultivated'. The books should be purchased only individually and not come free with every library because it would ruin some fun. Also, the books should be of different lenghts.

Well, you could have a sim write 'cultivated' novels, they can sit and talk about novels. With memories, I know some people have made them, so it would be possible.

I think you'd have to completely recolour the sky dome to do this- it would take a default override as it's not possible to do it per neighbourhood. I did it for my alien world (I made the day and night skies a different shade of blue with planets visible); the day texture by default is cyan and the night a deeper blue. You'd need to make that black, the lighting mod only changes the shadows and ambient lighting.

Again, TS3 feature rip-off mod:

I kinda wonder If it would be possible to code portable-chore items to be draggable. Like you know, the mechanic pick a plate with a hand tool (either through the inventory system or buy/build mode) and 'place' it dragging towards a refrigerator to put the dish as a leftover or a dishwasher to clean it. This would only work If moveobjects is disabled. The Storage object would show a grid to indicate it's selected/highlighted. Alternatively, could be done through a pie interaction with a plate/newspaper having the "*Select" interaction, then clicking a trash bin/can/compactor to "Put it away" without any sim animations required.

I'm not even sure If I would use this myself, since I probably won't mind directing sims to do such chores manually themselves.

P.S. Sorry for my bad english.

A pie menu option on the current Sim: "Call Over...[list of non-playable Sims on lot]." Sometimes visitors can go missing, and not every Sim wants a giant apple statue sitting in their house.

A new interaction with graves, 'Pray'. I could use it for my more religious sims...and my medieval sims.
