Converting a Sims 2 Bump Map To Sims 3
I am working on creating a 2t3 conversion of Cynnix's Noble Starched Veil. I'm blending HystericalParoxysm's hair creation guide and Nisukiye's 2t3 conversion tutorial. I am basing it off the Seasons hot dog hat, which seems to have no other earthly use.Everything seems to be going along great until I hit TSRW and try to texture the item. Things start looking a little wonky then, probably because the texture isn't properly done for TS3.
The bump map for the original item looks like this (another image has been attached at the bottom): https://66.media.tumblr.com/222e779...nxngco1_540.png.
The bump map for the hot dog hat, by comparison, looks more like this (another image has been attached at the bottom): https://66.media.tumblr.com/9e3d975...xngco1_1280.png
What I'd like to know is what I need to do. Here's what I think needs to be done, based on simply comparing the two images; since this is my first conversion ever, I'd like to know what I might be missing.
- Resize the wimple map so that it's properly 1024 x 1024
- Attach the back of the wimple (left bottom area) and the top of the wimple (right bottom area) to the wimple
- Somehow peel the item so that it's like the hot dog????
