I was putting the finishing touches on a lot last night, and I realised that, honestly, I'm not very good at blending my ground covers. They always wind up looking like...well, just like what they are, spray-painted blobs. I sat there for a minute wishing I had some kind of half-and-half terrain paints I could use to fake that transition when I remembered that girls like me can make their own ground covers -- and hey,
I'm a girl like me! So, ground covers. I made some!
I took ten of my favourites -- all Maxis textures -- and blended them with the default grassy lawn at various percentages to make what I thought were 11 decent transitions...
- Dirt Clod (65%)
- Garden Soil (65%)
- Grassy Growth (50%)
- Mixed Rocks (65%)
- Ocean's Edge (60%)
- Park Bark (60%)
- Pine Needles (50%)
- Standard Issue Sand (57%)
- Sandy Grass (65%)
- Sparse and Spotty (50%)
